Medina currently attends the University of Michigan, where she is pursuing a bachelors of science degree in Psychology.

She is originally from Grand Rapids, Michigan, and is Bosnian-American. Her passion about healthcare began from a young age, as she began translating and advocating for members of her community and worked to help them mitigate barriers to healthcare access. 

At Michigan, she has developed her skills through various organizations, such as a peer mentor for the Health Science Scholars program, a student co-coordinator for the Sexual Assault Prevention and Awareness program, and patient attendant through Michigan Medicine.

Outside of Michigan, she is apart of the Hidden Voices National Visionary collective, where she coordinates with other campus leaders from various institutions to prevent sexual assault on a national level. In her free time, she enjoys tennis, spending time with friends and family, and trying different restaurants around her college town.
