Management Consultant
Job Duties
End-to-end project management including timelines, deliverables, and client management with a commitment to deliver a 50% or higher margin for each engagement.
Lead a team of consultants, analysts, graphics designers, video editors, and internal administrative staff to execute tasks and ensure team performance.
Complete ownership of synthesis generation (including upstream and downstream implications for clients) from advisory board discussions / KOL discussions with monthly presentations to key stakeholders.
Coordinate, perform, and own the analysis of primary, as well as secondary research data; and synthesize insights with demonstrable growth in client account.
New business development: Commit to and deliver >$1Mn annual consulting revenue to TKC in new clients and engagements.
Weekly discussions with senior client leadership to identify pain points or opportunities in the medical technology industry.
Identify opportunities to generate new revenue streams for reference laboratories in the veterinary industry.
Identify, attend, and follow up leads at national conferences for business development both directly and indirectly.
Contribution to TKC expertise
Expansion of KOL (Key Opinion Leader) footprint in both payer and provider spaces; through activation of existing KOLs and development of new relationships.
Creation of a database of KOLs in the veterinary space in North America and the development of a network for primary research.
Identify and secure 2-3 leading women in healthcare to appear as guests on TKC podcasts each year.
Identify and secure 2-3 medical technology companies that would be willing to sponsor the TKC Healthcare Logistics Think Tank / Do Tank.
Contribute to growing internal talent by securing contractors with the right expertise and work experience.
Develop agendas and drive all-hands meetings for internal team development.
Mentor interns and deliver on internal KPIs for intern performances on projects.
Job Requirements
Educational Requirement: At least a BA Degree or foreign equivalent in Biology, Life Sciences, or similar;
Proven experience in clinical research (such as published research papers in acclaimed scientific journals)
At least 10 years of relevant professional experience as a senior strategy consultant;
Specific to consulting experience, the candidate must have spent at least 5 years working in the medical technology, life sciences, and healthcare sectors
At least 3 years of experience working in the veterinary diagnostics industry as a management consultant, advising senior leadership of VP levels and above;
Strong understanding of diagnostic tools and equipment used in the veterinary profession;
Demonstrable experience in doing primary research with veterinary stakeholders;
Hands-on experience and expertise in using workshop tools including Miro, Mural, Figma, Canva, and Slido
Exceptional analytical skills and understanding of commercial datasets
Comprehension of finance fundamentals, business operations, and functional dependencies
Strong presentation skills
Exceptional written and verbal communication skills are a must
Strong time management skills and ability to perform high quality work under pressure
