Barbara Taylor specializes in med-tech strategy, marketing, and innovation and has worked in companies ranging from large public conglomerates to small venture backed firms.

Most recently she led the marketing and commercial efforts at Portal Instruments, a series-C startup developing a connected needle-free drug delivery device.

Prior to Portal Instruments, Barb held a variety of business innovation, strategy and marketing roles at Philips Healthcare which included work in:  healthcare software development, new business model innovation, lifecycle and service strategy, and new product introduction. While at Philips, Barb spent 5 years in the Netherlands developing and globally launching new customer-centric service solutions.

Post MBA, Barb was a strategy consultant for Mercer Management Consulting before moving to Boston where she currently lives with her family and quirky dogs. Barb holds an MBA in marketing and strategy from the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University and a BS in biology from the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor, MI (Go Blue!).
