Akshat currently attends the University of Michigan, where he is pursuing a bachelor of science in Economics and Biology, Health, and Society. His passion lies at the intersection of healthcare and business, particularly in addressing the inefficiencies present within the healthcare system.

He serves as the Vice President of Finance for Blueprints for Pangaea, a student-led 501(c)(3) nonprofit focused on repurposing excess medical supplies for under-resourced communities. His role is to finance medical supply shipments to places like Mexico, Niger, as well as the local Ann Arbor Community through grants and corporate sponsorships.

In addition to his work with Blueprints, Akshat is a Project Lead for LIFT, a bioengineering design team dedicated to addressing the urgent needs of caregivers in underfunded communities during patient transfers. His team focuses on older patients in confined spaces and works with a local old age home in La Romana, Dominican Republic.

In his free time, Akshat enjoys immersing himself in a good book, bonding with his dog, or simply unwinding to R&B and 80's rock music.
